Board of Aldermen

David W. Honey

David W. Honey

Ward I Alderman David W. Honey has always had an interest in city government.  In February of 2010, he decided it was time to get involved with the community  and city activities. After witnessing the economic downfall, David decided it was time  to become a voice. David has had great accomplishments in his time as a Hollister resident. He has taken classes with San Diego State University through  an extended studies program and received many certificates in Construction Management.  He is also OSHA certified for Industrial Safety. During the time he was with a construction  management team, he helped develop a multi-complex that contains condominiums,  club house, sewers, roads, and pools. David is currently working for a commercial  chemical company that deals with ware washing and commercial laundries.  He was elected as a Ward I Alderman in April 2010.

Chris Kaempfer

Ward II Alderman Chris Kaempfer

Ward II Alderman Chris Kaempfer was appointed in January of 2025 to Alderman Ward II, replacing Jeff Long as he was appointed as Hollister Mayor. Alderman Kaempfer previously served on the Hollister School Board until becoming the Hollister School Resource Officer. Hollister is where he and his wife have chosen to raise their family. Their two oldest children both graduated from Hollister and their son is in 8th Grade.

Alderman Kaempfer has been with the Taney County Sheriff’s Office for 25 years and loves his position as Hollister SRO. My desire for being with the City as Alderman Ward II, is to continue to see the City grow in a positive way and our community to remain the focus of our growth.
