It is the responsibility of the Public Works Department for the repair and maintenance of more than thirty five (35) miles of City streets. Included are right-of-way mowing, street sign replacement, storm water control and snow plowing.

The Department has the responsibility for repair and maintenance of more than thirty three (33) miles of water line and four water wells capable of producing more than three hundred and fifty million (350,000,000) gallons of water annually. There are more than one thousand five hundred (1500) residential and commercial water meters which are read once a month (15th thru the 19th).

The Department also has the responsibility for the repair and maintenance of more than thirty (30) miles of sewer line and twenty eight (28) lift and grinder stations.

The Department continues to upgrade products and equipment to better serve the residents of the City.
