The Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC) will host a solo exhibit featuring the work of artist Joeaux Robey, entitled Awakening the Buddha Within. The show will run April 3-25 at the SMAC Art Center, 7 Downing Street, in historic Hollister, MO. The opening reception will be on Friday evening, April 3, from 6-9 p.m. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. During the reception, Robey will speak about her art and answer questions. Attendees may view the exhibit, tour the private studios, and enjoy complimentary refreshments. Traffic Update. . .South Maple Street has reopened to traffic. Thank you for your patience as work was completed.

Traffic Alert - South Maple Street is currently closed at the Kohler Creek Crossing (near Creekside Village Apartments) due to a downed cable line across the roadway. Crews are on scene to repair the cable. Please use an alternate route at this time.

Today, Chief Stirewalt and Deputy City Administrator Denise Olmstead visited Kirbyville Middle School for their Annual Career Fair. Students asked tough questions about careers in government, what a typical day at work is and some of the favorite parts of our jobs. Thank you to the Kirbyville Middle School team for allowing us the opportunity to talk about municipal government and share the morning with your students.
