Improvements have started at Hulland Park as we prepare for the construction of the new pavilion. While the pavilion is still several years from building, smaller improvements will be completed to continue adding the necessary infrastructure to support the new facility. 400 feet of new curbing was added along the east side of the driveway to establish additional parking and create the islands to protect the new street lighting. The drive was widened to accommodate two-way traffic. Improvements for 2023 include an asphalt overlay on the drive, parking lot and the kayak park parking lot and drive. We will also begin looking at construction of a restroom facility, located more centrally in the park for use by the kayak park and main park. Stay tuned for updates regarding our progress on improvements. We are also still collecting donations to help fund the improvements and construct the pavilion sooner. Contact City Hall for more information.
