In its upcoming art exhibit, Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC) will be featuring the work of artist Livia Xandersmith, an adjunct professor at Washington University in St. Louis. Her solo exhibit, Reaping Havoc, will run from December 6-28 at the SMAC Art Center gallery on historic Downing Street in Hollister. The jolly old elf himself, Santa Claus, visits Hollister as the Hollister Area Chamber of Commerce presents Santa in the Park. The City of Hollister's Mitten Tree has returned to the foyer of City Hall. Each holiday, the community brings in mittens, hats, scarves, and gloves to help our neighbors stay warm this winter. While you are shopping this season, pick up a pair of gloves, a scarf or hat, then stop by City Hall and decorate our Mitten Tree and help keep our community members warm.


Water service has been restored in the Trent st. area.


The following areas will be experiencing a brief period of water loss due to the new water line being tied into the existing water line. The following areas are Trent St, Crabtree, Pine Tree, Part of Scott St and also Old Mill Rd. Will notify when water has been restored to the area thank you.

Expect a water outage in the Trent st. area between the hours of 8:30 and 11:00 due to replacement of a water main.


City Hall will be closed November 28th and 29th for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Please contact Public Works, 417-331-0624, during this time for emergency assistance with your services.
