Community Invite to Daren Solomon's Retirement Reception
The City of Hollister will begin stormwater improvements at the Braden Park Pickleball Courts beginning Monday March 9th. Work is planned to take place along the area between the courts and Laurel Street, where a retaining wall will be placed to assist with water runoff. All work will be weather dependent, and courts will remain open during the work. Please use caution and stay clear from the work areas. The Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC) will present a group exhibit entitled ROOTED: The Art of Trees at the SMAC gallery at 7 Downing Street in Historic Downtown Hollister. From traditional to symbolic, from conceptual to abstract, this exhibit explores the intriguing and multi-conceptual theme of trees. Forty artists present works in a wide variety of mediums including painting, drawing, collage, photography, stained glass, and mixed media. The show runs March 6-28.
